Frontpage is just a web-authoring software and -- although it contains a version of Personal Webserver -- it isn't meant to be used as a server. I've used every version since FrontPage98. The web security settings within FrontPage are crude at best, even FrontPage 2003. Normally you would resort to the security settings available via whatever OS and/or server (i.e. W2K Server and MS IIS) you are going to run your website on.

I mean, use the security settings from your os instead of frontpage's

May 14th, 2004, 06:18 PM #6On what operating system is your website going to be hosted? There are literally a handful of ways to do it just within W2K Server/IIS 5.0, for example.

Can you describe exactly what you are trying to do? There are probably some basic reference materials available that can cover (in sufficient detail) all aspects depending on what you are trying to achieve."The trouble with our liberal friends is not that they're ignorant; It's just that they know so much that isn't so." -- Ronald Reagan
