Funky Win Media Player Error message...

Here's the deal, I just upgraded (or "sidegraded") from XP home to XP Pro. Everything went hunky dory except when I try to play any file that was associated with my Windows Media Player. I get this error message:

The procedure entry point GetIUMS could not be located in the dynamic link library MSDART.DLL

Now, I can hit OK and it will play the file but what is that message? I checked around and some people say to just boot WMP all together and get something called Foobar? Or that I have to reinstall WMP to get rid of it or change the name of the DLL file..................

Anyone have any clues?

Anyway. It could be that the version of that dll file in XP Pro is newer than in XP Home.

Sorry about that Eagle....I'm one impatient dude!! Anyway, thank you very much for the link, I had gotten there before but I just wanted to double check with the faithful IMO forum to see if it was correct!!

I just did the rename of msdart.dll to msdart32.dll and that seemed to work......
