NEEDED: Quick Restore for Compaq Laptop 1200-XL105

My Compaq Presario 1200 Laptop boots up to a DOS page and all it says is Missing Operating System. I was told by Compaq that the laptop was discontinued and they have no more Quick Restore for this, does anyone know what to do or can help me out??? Thank you!!

Hm, a quick google brought up this class action suit which contains your model number.

Two things are of interest:

1) your computer may never have come with a restore CD
2) you may have a restore partition still on the drive (D: )

Have you tried typing d: at the dos command prompt to see if that partition is present?
