WMP 9 Color Problems

I just recently noticed that when i play movie down in my WMP 9 they are not in normal colors but in Hot Pinks Blues and Oranges. Sound is still there and its fine. Just the image is all messed up. Its wierd i tried to get a picture of it to show you but that doesn't work. Never had that happen before when i take the picture it comes out all black. I rolled back my video card driver thinking that was it nothin. Anyother solutions. I reinstalled WMP 9. Nothin still It only does this in WM( Real Player works fine and also Quicktime. If even does it when i stream from the internet.

I would suggest codec corruption if you hadn't said Quicktime and Real worked to play the same file properly. Try reinstalling the codec used to view the file you are playing back. If it's a divx file, download the latest divx codec from www.divx.com. It may be xvid too, in which case search for "xvid download" on google to get the latest binary install of that.

If it's straight from a DVD, then it might be time to reinstall your DVD playing software... Media player is just a cutesy frontend for all your codecs and media... it actually uses a lot of software that isn't MS related just to do simple things like DVD playback - hence the reason reinstalling DVD software will fix Windows Media Player's DVD playback too.

I reinstalled my divx and that worked fine thats man.
