Is there an extension that would allow Firefox to save webpages in .mht (webpage archive) format? I really liked that about Internet Explorer.
Thanks to any help. |

The MHT format (RFC822) has been the source of many arguments within the Mozilla development group. End-users want the feature, but none of the developers want to implement support IMHO.
Here is the strange part. RFC822 support is included in Thunderbird and Mozilla, thus they are capable of partially rendering MHT encoded pages when the file extension is changed to EML. A few decoding problems still exist, but nothing that can not be fixed easily enough. http://www.mozillazine.org/talkback.html?article=4612
Now why a Mozilla developer will not integrate the RFC822 into FireFox is beyond my comprehension. The process seems straightforward enough, at least on the decoding side of the deal. As to RFC822 encoding, it should not be difficult to implement since decoding is already possible.
