Thanks

Btw folks, if you get an error when connecting, its not a dead link.. just too many anonymous users so try again.

Here's a link directly to it
ftp://ftp.opera.com/pub/opera/win/752/en/std/

I don't know what they did, but the 2D acceleration in Linux seems much better after updating from 7.51 to 7.52.

Strange.

I know this is off topic, but since this thread is about opera, i didn't want to make a new one. Anyway, I'm thinking about buying opera since I like it so much and I like to support software thats really great. Also i can get it for half price with their student discount. But I would like to ask everyone whos paid for opera, after you pay, is that it? I have a strange feeling that opera is on the bandwangon of "subscriptionware" where you buy a program, but you have to pay for it again every 6 months or whatever. Stupid. If you bought it, you bought it, and that should be it. But is this true? I couldn't find anything confirming this on opera's site, but I was still wondering. If its a one shot deal, then count me in.

I think I paid at about 6.0. If I remember correctly each full version upgrade is a pay ie 6.0 to 7.0 but not 100% sure. I do know that the upgrades are 1/2 price after your 1st pay. Personally I don't have a problem with this. They are a private company (oops, I think they went public ??) and have bills to pay. Worth a few bucko's IMO.

Unless they come out with the new version soon after you bought the old (4-6 months I think?)
