XP making me logon... and I don't want to!!!!
Comp just hard rebooted... either as a result of brownouts or some strong storms about 100 miles NW of here.
Anyway... when it rebooted... the windows logon screen appeared and I had to click the icon to get into windows. Never had to do that... and don't want to do it... How do I remedy this?

Well did you just do any updates to your computer? I think Service Pack 1 makes you have the login screen. You can fix that by installing XP powertoys?

I think that you go to control panel...user accounts....change the way users log on or off and uncheck the "use the welcome screen"
