IE 6 problem
I use the links tool bar to put frequently used favorites. I have one folder on there called news with lots of bookmarks to news sites.
I often have several windows open at the same time. Sometimes I want one window (web page) to stay open, while I go to check the news. I click on the bookmark and IE switches to the window in the background (the one I wanted to stay where it was) and loads the page up there.
This is annoying, I loose my place when the wrong window loads.
This does not happen with regular bookmarks, just with some of the bookmarks in the folder on the link toolbar.

Try changing the "Reuse windows for launching shortcuts" in Internet Options/ Advanced.

I've noticed the same thing...which is why I press control+N before selecting one of my favorites ( it opens another instance of the page your on ).
It's still gets me once in a while.BBA

I turned off the "reuse windows". I'm not sure its much better that way. I'm trying it for a while to see how it goes.
I guess it's one of MS's little bugs. It's strange to me that some sites would do it and others would not.
