LCD monitor

I would like to purchase a 17" lcd monitor but I would like to hang it upside down. I have a computer desk that has a top shelf and I would like t o attach it to the bottom of the shelf. Can I do this with this monitor. It would then clear my whole desk for work.

you COULD just find a way to suspend it from the top of the shelf. It'll take you a while and you'd have to be careful finding contact points on the back of the monitor. But with some steel wire, you could make a sweet looking setup, and wouldn't even have to turn it upside down.

LCD monitor

Thanks for the replies. The easy way would be for me to stand on my head to look at it but that becomes very uncomfortable after a while. I guess I will have to use it the way it was meant to be even tho I have to sacrifice some space.

if your lcd is vesa fdmi compliant you should be able to remove the mounting bracket/stand and substitute your own. you can buy prefabricated ones from a number of vendors or if you want to save some money and don't mind having a less polished look, you could probably jury-rig your own using acouple of L brackets and two strips of metal.
