OK. let me start by saying that I love IE. Tabbed browsing is not my thing so Opera is out for me. I dont care much for firefox (loads some of my favorite pages funny, toolbars not as nice as ie, and favorites incorperation ist the best).
Anyway, I have been using the google toolbar, spybot s&d, adaware, and spywareblaster. A few months ago and all during the school year I rarely ever had a pop-up. Now im getting them quite often and it has only been getting worse. Anyone else noticing this trend? Any solution besides switching browers? Well, of course I have the lates version and updates of thos programs. They just aren't getting the job done anymore. Not like they use to anyway. |

| This one still works just fine for me...seriously, I haven't noticed any new popup trends...I really don't get any.
Have you given it a try yet? |

Actually. that is a gr8 little program and is what I originally started using about a year ago. I stopped using it when the Google toolbar came out. Maybe it is time to put it back up. |

I think you should take another look at it. |

Maybe I will give it another shot sometime, I just cannot stand having web page take up the whole srceen. I always have about 2 or 3 windows overlapping so I can easily select another or have information that can refer to on diferent pages. I would rather use the alt+tab replacement before I used tabbed browsing. Thats just me. I do like the tabs in deadaim though. Basically in my opinion IE is far better than any other browser without regards to pop-ups or the consideration that M$ is evil. Ive got pop-up stopper back on which doesnt's allow any new windows so I am happy for now. |
