parental computer control (internet, apps, etc.)
I am looking for a program to give me complete control over a computer. For example: when the computer may be used, what applications may be used, password protection, when the internet may be used, etc.
I have a child who is having a hard time managing when and what he uses the computer for. I would like to be able to set times when he can use the computer, and when it will automatically go off. Also, what programs (mainly games) he may use, when and how long he may use them.
Not all of these characteristics are required, but the more the less marrier! (for him)

There are tons of applications you could use.
NetNanny
ZoneAlarm
Just to name a couple.
You could also tell your computer to shutoff at certain times in the BIOS. Make sure you "password" protect it, so he can't just turn it back on.

That's one of the reasons I installed W2K on the kids machines. They access the internet through my machine, so my wife and I have complete control over when they are on line. I use a proggy called Proxy from AnalogX for logging and the kids know I check it regularly. If I see where one of them went some place they shouldn't, I disable their password. If they don't turn it off or don't do their homework when told, I either use VNC to shut them down or I disable their password. It's worked very well so far.

I do not want to have to do anything. I want to program to shut down the kids computer at a specific time, and limit when he can use specific programs, etc. There must be a all-in-one solution out there just waiting for me to find it.
