Action Cancelled on webpage?

What causes a portion of a webpage to not display? Checked my Firewall, its at Standard level. And, is it just me or is Hotmail dragging? Yesterday & today when I access Hotmail the page takes 4EVER to load, not any other website, just MSN/Hotmail. Lots of errors on the pages... unable to get to my email (one of them) plus placeholders show up instead of images? I've run anti-Spyware (SpyWareBlaster) and did the TrendMicro PC virus scan - no issues. Any ideas?

Whir (TechIMO moderator) reported a similar problem with MSN last night. I suspect Microsoft is having possible networking issues, especially in regards to region-specific caching servers.

I am having no problems. As a start start, clear your temporary internet files .

Assuming you are using Internet Explorer

Tools - Internet Options - Delete Files

Thank you! It is just MSN, I've been everywhere else on the web and only MSN. I ran to read blogs about it, have yet to find much else. At least its not ME...

Not everyone may have problems. MSN content and services are cached by Akamai, meaning this issue may only affect certain netblocks.

First thing I did this morning was a clean sweep - there are still image placeholders showing. At the sign in for Hotmail, there is an add for eDiets with no visuals. Hmmm. I even tried reporting a bug to Mickeysoft and it went No Where.

Its just frustrating - I'm just not bothering with it for another day - I still have clean up after Hurricane Charley. A bigger fish to clean.
