Problem with turning on

Hello I am new to windows. My computer is running XP. My brother was playing a game and it froze so he restarted. It would restart and do the check when things go wrong. Then it would go to the logon menu then restart itself. I have not installed anything recentlty. I am using an Athlon Xp with a Asus board and I have not overclocked. I tried restarting in last working config. But that did not work.

See if you can start in 'Safe Mode'. If you can, shut down and then try booting normal.

Sounds like worst case you need to run a repair by booting from the XP disk.

I started in Safe Mode but don't know what to do once there
