| Unable to open Wordpad document
I have downloaded and unzipped the manual for my Jetway mobo, but I cannot open it. I get a "Unable to load graphics conversion filter" message when I attempt to open it in Wordpad.
Can anyone help? |

It's more than likely an actual Word document. Is the file extension ".doc" ? Wordpad will try to open it by default if you don't have Word installed. |

When I right click on the file and check properties, it says "WordPad Document". The MS-DOS name is "J-994A~1.DOC". |

It says it's a "WordPad" document because the ".doc" is associated with "WordPad". If you had Word installed, when you right-clicked and looked at properties, it would say it was a Word document.
If I'm not mistaken, M$ had a FREE Word viewer. Let me look around and I'll post again. |

| Rick ain't so evil...
The word viewer did the job. Many thanks, Rick, and to KenSun for offering help as well.
May I refer you to the "hamster thread" in the Techimo Community forum? I mean, if you have nothing else to do and are not offended by the just plain silly...
Regards,
