| Need .DWG to .jpg/.jpeg converter...FREEWARE
Hey all,
Just what it says.
My friend wants to convert an autocad drawing to a jpeg, using a freeware (or at least free trial) utility. There's a bunch for sale after Googling it, but would like some in-the-know opinions.
Thanks in advance.

How about just using "Print Screen" button and then all you would have to find is a bmp to jpg converter...might be easier....or use any photo program to convert. |

Awww man. I used to have a great program to do just that and I can't for the life of me remember what it's called.
I take it your friend doesn't actually have AutoCAD? Because you can export .dwg to a couple different picture formats, IIRC. Then convert from that to .jpg. |

He does have autoCAD, but he's kind of like an idiot savant; he's completely petrified with anything to do concerning computers except the drawings. His box isn't even online (he does drawings for a patent attorney, and he's paranoid about the internet). To get this program, he'll need to have his wife DL it, burn to disk, and install to his machine. Weird, but he does make a pretty good second income from the drawings...
Dustyrun, to do that would you print screen over to MS Paint? Vaguely remember doing something like that. |
