dr watson appears because there's something wrong with your computer.

It's been part of windows since 95 or nt4.

Somewhere on this site is the cure for that. I used it after I installed service pac 2. It involves a registry change of some sort..........I just followed the instructions and have had no events since.

    Found this with Google:
I don't know why your explorer.exe is crashing, but I would think that there is something wrong in your system files.
What I do know on the other hand is that DrWtsn is the windows-error handling program. When explorer crashes, it automatically logs errors and other information about what happened to a specific place.

    Don't delete it.

If it came back automatically you're a lucky b---tard

To see where "Dr Watson" stores it's logfiles, open the start menu and choose "Run".
Type drwtsn32 in the box and hit enter.

There is also a helpfile in there that you can use.

A reinstallation would most probably fix all your problems, so good luck with whatever you do!
