redhat 7.2 network problem

just installed redhat 7.2 today (upgrade from 7.1) must say that kde 2.4.10 is reallly nice

anyways the problem is that I cannot get my network connection to go. It shows my device as being /dev/eth which is weird becauase the only optioins within the control panel are the usualy eth0 and up so it cannot detect the card properly.

any ideas
