Machine Debugger Process / DCOM / SP2 Crapola
The Machine Debugger was screwing all my gaming up and giving me blue screen's of death while running Direct X so I disabled it. Now the only problem is the stupid DCOM Server Process Launcher is constantly trying to start the Machine Debugger even though I disabled the thing.
I keep getting this error in event viewer:
DCOM got error "The service cannot be started, either because it is disabled or because it has no enabled devices associated with it. " attempting to start the service MDM with arguments "" in order to run the server:
{0C0A3666-30C9-11D0-8F20-00805F2CD064}
Well I traced that key at the bottom of the error message to "The Machine Debugger" in the registry...
How do I get DCOM Server Process Launcher to stop trying to start "The Machine Debugger?"
Now I know that stupid Machine Debugger came with my Office XP installation. I did a complete install of Office - is there a way to uninstall the Machine Debugger?
Thanks, DayAfter
