Sorry I cant help with gnuparted-I use PartitionMagic or do the partitions I need during install.
What do you need a new partition for?If you plan to make a windows partition you will have to do a new install with windows 1st,then linux. If you want a new linux partition for /home or /var you will also have to re-install I think.
Back up your /home directory to save your personal stuff and put it back afterwards.

I thought about Partition Magic, but I recently bought Partition Commander to re-partition a customers HDD. I know it also works with Linux andd it did a nice easy job on the machine I ran it on.

I'm a newbie at this, but couldn't you do it from linux? Use that proggie that is used during the install itself. (I think that it's in the controll center or something). |
