One question in MS-Excel ?

Hi,
When I fill a cell with data and when it is more than the cell size than it increases the size of that cell(it occupies the next cell(bottom one) which looks really bad. What I want is to keep the cell of the size fixed and if the data is more than the size of the cell than the rest of the won't be shown(i.e. it shud be hidden) unless i select that particular cell.
And when I select that cell only than it will show that whole data.I hope I am clear what I want.I wil be really glad if some one can help me..WIth regards

Format->Cells->(see attached image for which tab it is), select 'fill' (or something similar) and click ok.

It should hide the overlapping information of the cell, but it will not show (in cell, it will of course show in the = line) the contents fully even if you select the cell.
