One, Office XP isn't an OS. Its Office(Word, Excel, Power Point, etc...)

Media Center XP is more of an addon than a complete OS. I wouldn't say its better than Home or Pro because its not made to compete with them. Its for people looking to turn there computer into a giant Tivo.

XP Home is good for basic computer users.

XP Pro is for the more advanced computer user on the networking side as it provides much more Admin type settings, etc...

XP Pro is my top choice out of the group.

im running xp home, had xp pro install, but the guy who gave it to me also gave me a hacked or borrowed key. went to install sp2 and found that out. went and bought xp home, only one i could afford at the time. been running it for several months now and been great for me. i have a small network setup at home with 3 pcs and had no problems with network issues or setting it up. pro does have more features, but most irrevelant. seeing that i have used both, i'll stick with home. IMO unless you are running a large network or just like to spend a lot of money, home would be excellent choice.
