    HELP HELP....Urgent...STOP ERROR

     
    A friend of mine gave me his momīs brand new Dell Laptop PC to isntall WinXp Pro since it had WinXP Home Edition....he also told me to format it...so well I did...formated the HD and installed WinXP...but now when booting a blue screen STOP ERROR message comes up....it says:

    INVALID_WORK_QUEUE_ITEM

    STOP: 0x00000096 (0x81B89228, 0x80548ABC, 0x80548A80, 0x80571358)

    Iīve looked around the net in MS website and I canīt find anything on this...just a bunch of useless crap...please someone help me... ...I think his mom is gonna be pissed if I donīt get this right...LOL...

    try the dell recovery cd which came with the system, then see if you can install pro on top of the fresh install of home.
