Office 97 + XP Compatibilty
A friend of mine upgraded to XP home and is curious if he wee to run his Office 97 install would it work fine on the new OS?

Yeah, it should run just fine on XP.
In fact, I still use Office 97 (when I'm not using openoffice that is).

Office 97 starts up instantly, and isn't padded with extra features, that's why I like it.

No problems running Office 97 with XP Pro. Make sure you have the Office 97 upgrades, SP1 and SP2. I think they're still available from Microsoft.
