Error when trying to install XP Pro on a new box
I've gotten this error before, but never got an answer as to what it is.
Since I originally got this error on this box I've replaced the RAM and Motherboard and still no luck. I just installed the new motherboard and booted it up, partioned and formatted it and as soon as it started to try to install I get a blue screen of death with this message:
STOP: c000021a {Fatal System Error}
The Session Manager Initilization system process terminated unexpectedly with a status of 0xc000026c (0x00000000 0x00000000).
The system has been shut down.
Help!

I didn't have a problem installing XP myself but I did a search and here is a link to a discussion of the problem you describe.

Also in M$ site it says that particular error code refers to a bad device driver.
Do you have any unusual hardware? I provided a device driver to XP for my scsi adapter during installation.

I've replaced the motherboard, the hard drive, the ram, the processor, and tried both CD-ROM and CD-RW individually plugged in to see if it's a bad ROM or RW but I can't figure it out. I just continue to have this same problem. And I know it's not a bad XP disk 'cause I have used this disk on multiple other boxes. I'm so lost

Usually BSOD errors related to a driver are caused by the power supply. What wattage and brand is your power supply? Also, what components do you have on it (CPU, video card, PCI cards, # hard drives, etc.). Usually these things aren't related to a power supply going bad or anything, just that the power supply can't handle the load that's being requested of it.

If it's using the built in video that should be more than enough power. I'm not sure of the brand so there may be some unreliability but it should be fine still so that basically rules that out. Another thing that could be causing the BSOD is a heat issue. Check the temp monitoring from the BIOS and let us know what kind of reading you get.
It could be a memory issue. Try running memtest (http://www.memtest86.com) and see if you get any errors.
It may also be a bad install disc but I've never seen this happen because of that before.
