User defined Internet filters......

I have some relatives that are looking for an internet filter for their computer. However, He is a "Certified Pyrotechnitian" for a living, so the software can't block any sites on exposives, bombs, etc. Only the P0rn. Is there a good solution you all have for this situation. Preferable a free/low cost solution, but any ideas are welcome. what I am looking for is something that I can type "keywords" into that will only block those keywords.

Oh, and also something that won't hose his computer up. I still want it functional when I get done.

We-Blocker.

You can set it to block only the things you want it to block, and its free.


It has a nasty habit of messing up the install, though.

I have seen the install go south a couple of times, causing the we-blocker software to block all TCP/IP traffic, period.

Then only way to fix it is to call the We-Blocker people and plead with them to give you manual removal instructions, or format the computer.



There is always a trade-off. You get what you pay for, ya know?
