Deleting the Start Menu "Startup" Folder

You know what I'm talking 'bout. See attachments.

How do I get rid of the folder "Startup"?

TIA!

Can't delete it as far as I know. But you can hide it. Open up "C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Start Menu\Programs". Right-click the folder and check "hidden". Now open "C:\Documents and Settings\?Username?\Start Menu\Programs" and do the same. Now it's off you start menu.

Why would you want to do that?

Highlight startup...

Right click, then delete.

Because, like I said, it doesn't delete (at least for me it never has on XP). [See attachment] You can delete the registry key that prevents you from deleting it but then any program you use that tries to access the startup folder will crash becasue of registry access errors.

Very informative.

Thank you.

I don't know why I didn't think of hiding it...
