    Ghost over home network

Hi everyone! I've got a simple question that I can't seem to find the answer for. I've got three computers all running Win2k on a wireless home network. I have Norton Systemworks 2003 and I would like to be able to ghost my hard drive images to a secondary drive on one of the computers. Ideally, I'd like to automate this to do it automatically one a month.

What I can't find is a good tutorial on how to do this. I also don't understand how or what to get for network drivers to make this thing go under DOS. So, as you can see I really need the tutorial reduced to the level absurd simplicity.

Oh, and as a final point, rather than using a DOS boot disk to restore, I'd love to be able to go to one of the other computers and restore an image from there within Windows, if that is even possible.

    TIA!

You can't restore from within windows. Since this is the Systemworks version.... it sucks.. for me I am allowed to use the Symantec Ghost 9 from my work on my home PCs.. I run Windows PE with Ghost32 and it works. You maybe interested in a batch that people use for automatic image restoration. You can probably modifiythis to enable network support but I dont know how. Here is the batch that I use for people who cant use PE and Ghost32

    Code:
    @echo off
    cls
    echo ---------------------------------------------------------------------------
    echo SystemRestore
    echo ----------------------------------------------------------------------------
    echo.
echo This will erase all data currently on your hard disk !!!
    echo.

    :_restore
echo Type in the restore code
echo to continue to restore your computer
echo or type abort to abort the restore
    set /p get=
    if %get% == 123456 goto _ghost
if %get% == abort goto _abort
    goto _wrong

    :_ghost
    echo Loading...
    rem without -rb switch!
    ghost.exe -quiet -batch -sure -afile=NUL one,mode=load,src=t:\cdr00001.gho,dst=1
    if errorlevel 1 goto _error
    echo.
    pause
    goto _end

    :_wrong
    echo.
echo You entered the wrong Restore Code
    echo or spelt abort wrong
    echo.
    goto _restore

    :_abort
    echo.
    echo [Aborted...]
    echo Your computer will restart
    pause
    exit

    :_error
    echo.
    echo An Error has occured
echo To try again type retry
echo or to exit type Exit
    set /p error=
if %error% == retry goto _ghost
if %error% == exit goto _errorexit
    goto _error
    pause
    exit

    :_errorexit
echo Your Computer was not fully restored
    pause
    exit

    :_end
echo Your Computer has been restored!!
    pause
    exit

    eminem:

I like your batch file, but it looks like it is designed to restore from a CD. Do I just edit it to reflect the network source?

Also, I assume the batch file goes on a Ghost boot disc. Is this correct?
