| Help Runtime errors in Word and Excel
I think I've picked up a bug of some sort - when I try to open MS Word 2000 or Excel, all I get is Microsoft Visual C++ runtime error, then the path ending \winword.exe, or \excel.exe. My only option is OK and then the programme closes.
I have had a look around various websites which all suggest an add in is taking over - but I can't find it or get rid of it. I tried the suggestions on http://support.microsoft.com/default...b;en-us;555220 but I wouldn't know which dll file was Ok and which not.
Have installed, updated and run:
AdAware Se and VX2,
Ccleaner,
Spybot and DSO.exploit
Spyware blaster
CW Shredder
kill2Me
Buster
HS Remove
I am running Norton Internet security 2005, have updated and done full system scan.
Have uninstalled and reinstalled office.
I can get into word if I go via Start\run winword /a.
Can anyone help me out of this? I am going around in circles.
Thanks. |
