How do I switch drives letters?

    D is a DVD drive
F is a virtual drive created by Alcohol 120%

How can I switch the drive letters? I'm using Windows XP

I've never done it and don't know what kind of troubles it may cause, but I do see if you go to your control panel, click on administrative tools, click computer management, click on disk management, then right click on the drive or virtual drive, you get a option to "change drive letter and path..."

That's the method I've always used and haven't ever had any issues with it. I'm not sure about virtual drives with Alcohol but I know in Deamon Tools you're able to specify the letter the virtual drive uses (assuming it isn't already taken).

I think if you right click on My Computer and select Manage > Disk Management and then right click on your virtual drive you can select Change Drive Letter and Path and the same thing for the DVD drive.

If you're just switching the letters choose an obscure letter for the VD, then change the DVD, and then go back and change the VD to what you want.

I've run into the problem with Alcohol, that some games look for the disks in a specific drive, not the virtual drive, so I've had to re-name the drives with disk manager. The problem is compounded by the fact that I have 4 partitions on my hard drive, making the virtual drive letters even farther from where the games expect.
