| File and Printer sharing over VPN
Hi All, Here is a whopper.
I am building a VPN.
Lets say I have 2 computers on one end of the VPN, they can share files and printers either way with no probs. I have a computer on the other end of the VPN. it can only access one of the two computer for file and print sharing. What's the deal?
the one with the probs is:
XP Pro SP2.
Pleaze Help!!

Is the firewall enabled on the machine in question? Can you ping him?

Damn it!!!
Junkie..you were right, it was because if the SP2 firewall.
I thought that SP2 still left ports open for file and print sharing???
WHat ports do I need to open, as I just disabled it to test..

sensi, SP2 is setup by default to block all incoming traffic, if i am correct. the firewall in SP1 and below may have left those ports open but not SP2. Those are big security holes if you are connected to the internet.
