cannot boot with win xp cd

i need to reinstall my windows and it is not booting from the cd.... actually it does but after is says checking hardware configuration and then it goes all black and the comp just runs there. nothings happens after that.... someone help me with this

A bios update could resolve that.

Roxio should be shot for creating a product like that. Earlier removing the product caused optical drives to lose functionality, and now having it blocks windows install

i used to use easy cd creator 6 but not any more
