TIFF (LZW) decompressor needed?

Have a user in the office who has been sent a Powerpoint slideshow but a couple of slides have images that don't appear. Instead the following message appears: "Quicktime and a TIFF(LZW) decompressor are needed to see this picture." I have tried installing Quicktime Alternative, then full Quicktime (non-pro) but in both cases the message did not change. Any ideas?
