Usually when you remove a program it also is removed from the Add or Remove Programs but it seems like my old Epson files don't want to go away. Maybe they hope that I will just bring back the printer and say I'm sorry for not using it. Yeah.. Anyway, I was wondering how I could get rid of this Epson Printer Software in my Add or Removed Programs. It's not a hassle really but I like to clean up my files and put everything in its place and nice and clean looking. Thanks for any help. |

I use Add-Remove program it works much better than win add-remove
It cleans all your win reg and takes out everything including your add-remove windows

What? Its the same, right?
Probably your Epson doesnt have the uninstallation application. So, delete the file?

The message I get when I try to removed it from the directory is "No printer or utility can be deleted". So I'm guessing it's actually gone but I would like to get it off that list since it's annoying. |

You didn't mention which flavor of Windows you're using, but the procedure in this Microsoft KB Article worked for me in XP Pro.

*snaps* Guess I should've included that. Sorry, I was cut for time before going to PT and then work. The Air Force loves it when you're not on time. Windows XP Pro is my OS and I will give that a try. |

Here is a quick tip:
Fire up regedit.exe from Run... command
Navigate to
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\Curr entVersion\Uninstall
and look for the thing you want to remove from the list. Just delete it from the registry and it should disappear from the Add/Remove list as well.
As always it is a good idea to backup anything you change in the registry just in case
Right click the entry in the registry and choose Export. Save it somewhere on your harddrive as a .reg file. |
