XP and active X security settings?

how does one adjust active x settings in XP

here is the issue....

a friend is getting the red x when trying to listen to an online radio show (the radio show used to play no problem)

how can she allow actixe X controls on THAT ONE SITE without weakening her overall security

she had it set on medium high...and she tried it two notches lower but it still didnt work...so I told her to put it back on medium high

what does she need to do to allow the active x control on that site??

btw she does have SP2

Thanks, JP

Try adding the site to "Trusted sites" in IE properties (right Click the IE icon and click properties). Set the security settings for trusted sites to "Medium", click on the "Custom Level" button and enable ActiveX controls. (there are five ActiveX options. Just enable them all) Make sure you enable ActiveX while you have "Trusted Sites" highlighted.

http://wm.calvarymedia.com/thebridge_audio96

from here..broadband connection http://www.bridgefm.org/listen.htm

works fine for me in W98se

she says the website just made some sort of change...it worked before...should she just delete cookies and try again?

It does not seem like an ActiveX error in that case, Does her firewall allow Windows Media Player to access the internet. If that prog is blocked then it will not work. I dont know how the website was configured, but if they changed the prog to listen (i.e. for real player to media player) then that could be the prob. Currently it says Media Player is required.

"require server verific (https ) for all sites in this zone lol"
