| Controlling PCs through network.
I was just wondering what software there is on the market that can visually control one pc from another. (I mean like, I could use the mouse and keyboard on pc 1 in another room and pc 2 would actually type and stuff.) I already know of Real VNC and the Windows XP thing, but I want to control a windows 2000 pc with a windows XP pc and Real VNC is slow and annoying. Thanks in advance for any reply.

PC Anywhere from Symantec works pretty good.

There's a product called Netsupport. It's not free but it works quite well at my work.
Like VNC you can specify the resolution and colour depth of the desktop for slow connections. If you're on a home LAN this should work pretty well.
I can't remember if 2000 Pro had terminal services but if it does I believe you can use that for remote control as well. I'm not sure of the speed of it though.

Yeah, I suggest the remote desktop too, it's easy to configure and it's usually already installed in XP.
