it sounds as if you need to set your firewall up to forward some ports that the game will need to allow there conection to your server. What that will do is open the ports needed while still blocking the other traffic. What ports it needs to work depends on what game it is. How to forward ports is more than i can explain properly, and I will let someone else explain that.

Well do you mean blocking incoming connections or blocking everything else and allowing incoming connections to the host game you are running?
Well simply put, here is a link that will help you foreword specific software firewalls and routers. http://www.portforward.com/ Also check out their common ports for what specific ones are needed for the server itself to be allowed as incoming traffic. This is a useful site for port forewording with a router and a software firewall as well.
There are many firewalls to choose from that will have an interactive feature to allow specific privileges when the program has started. Sygate and Zone alarm will allow this easily and both are free. If not windows service pack firewall 2 will also do the same function. Even pre SP2 firewall can be configured for such use.
We can give more information when you have decided on a firewall and tell us which game server you want to allow.* ¨ )

yeah i want it for a multiplayer game, right now i got it so my friend can get host, i block everyone else except my friend who i want to be host, so the server checks that his xbox is the only one that could connect to mine so he gets host. so i think i want to block my outgoing traffic and just let incoming which i think means they could only connect to me and i cant connect to them thanx for answering
