    M$ Word crashes system when saving to floppy

     
    I built mom a new system, Win2k, Duron 1300, 256mb ram, 16mb AGP video, 20gb Maxtor. The problem is when she saves a document to a floppy disk in Word it crashes Word and Windows. Only way out is to re-boot. I uninstalled AVG Anti Virus, tried Office 2002 XP, it crashed, tried Office 2000, it crashed, uninstalled Office 2002 XP and Office 2000 and re-installed both, one at a time. Still crashes. I can copy a file to a floppy and drag files off the floppy, no problem. Sometimes Word will save one or two files to a floppy and then crash on the 3rd one. Word Perfect 12 is also installed on the machine and it has no problem saving to a floppy. Any ideas? I'm stumped.

    It works fine to save to the hard drive then send to the floppy. [still scratching head]
