is there a program, preferably a bootable program that will allow me to run stress tests on my pc/laptop i do a lot of ghosting and would rather take the time too just run a quick stress test to make sure all the components can take a heavy load. Much thanks

not sure about bootable, but SiSoft Sanda has a burnin/stress test.
3dmark programs also work well for that, as it maxes out your CPU/Video card, the two most power hungry components in most systems. |

Search Google for SuperPi, and download it.
Then hit up http://www.nu2.nu/pebuilder/ and get BartPE.
I've never done it but plan on testing it heavily one of these days, but BartPE will create a bootable OS CD with whatever applications you can stuff on a CD. This should do the trick, MaximumPC did a guide on this program that I might read someday. |
