no i believe the guys making the anti virus is the same ones putting the viruses out (im mean they have to make money and no OS is perfect). Like the guys that make ur pills or meds arent' cureing the problems they're just making them worse, but thats my opinion. Low and behold and knock on wood mine have NEVER had a virus, but plenty of other ppls machine that HAVE installed an anti virus or some kind that ive worked on have had plenty of problems, and no i can not and will not format my drive, ive got too much crap on here anyway.

Im running sp1 on xp pro. The reason is because of the things ive been hearing about sp2. I dont have an antivirus (i dont trust them) and i use little or no antispyware (hijackthis ad-aware etc.). Ive been running this system with NO problems for i dont know how long now(ever since Xp came out). I had wmp 9, and was trying to load some mp3s on my rio 600 pmp. It wasnt working great and i upgraded to wmp 10 and got a driver for my rio from the rio site, and things got worse. Wmp 10 locked up 3 secs after i started it (everytime) and i wasnt able to even get close to loading files on my rio (it was not responding or was extremly slow). I tried replayer, it was working great!, then it wanted to use some files (i dont know why) from wmp 10 which i tried to uninstall it (i dont have sys restore on either). Then realplayer started locking up. I tried so many service packs and hotfixes and universal drivers and stand alone drivers for my wmp and rio and im now sitting here writing this thread. Ive search other threads but with no resolve of my problem. Is there another program i can use for my rio, or is everyone having this problem with wmp 10?
