Win98 Lite and USB 2.0

Have been having problems trying to install the USB 2.0 drivers for Windows 98 Lite. While I have not seen any Lite specific drivers I have been trying to install 3rd party drivers for Win98 SE from Adaptec, ALi and VIA but have had no luck.

Anyone here have any experience with installing USB 2.0 drivers on Win98 Lite?
