Unhappy Help backing up a disk

First of all, I bought FEAR a few days ago...and I know how easily disks around here get scratched so bad that they can't be used after a while...so I tried to make a backup...but I have some trouble...

First thing I did was copy it using clonecd into an R file...then I burned it onto a spare dvd I have...and everything seemed to work fine...untill I tried running Fear with the backup disk...then it said that it could not find the original disk...

So, onto my question...how do I make it act like the original disk so I can use it instead of the original?

It has been awhile since I have tried to backup a Game onto another disc. I don't have CloneDVD so I don't know how that works. Is it a game on a DVD? Is it dual layer? If it is a dual layer DVD-9 disc then you would have to burn it to a DL-DVD.

I would try a different program to try and back it up like Nero.

Yes, it is a dvd, and it is not a dual layer.

I will see if it will work with nero.

It is most likely a protected disk and you'll need a program specifically made to copy [oh, I mean back up] that type of disk.
