| Alarm Clock program?
Hey, is there some kind of program that will allow my computer to act as an alarm clock? Ya' know, like turn on and play music at a preset time? |

What about something that can actually power up my system at a predesignated time?
What I'd like is to have my computer turn itself on in the morning and play music to wake me up. Am I asking for too much? |

Task scheduler in windows?
For a power-up, the bios usually has some functions for that. |

| Yup. You should be able to find something in there to boot the PC.
Perhaps you can set it to boot up a couple minutes before you want the alarm to go off, then have the alarm set at the time you want to wake up. |

Why do you need to turn your computer off? As long as you got your power-saving options set correctly there is no reason to shut it completely down. |
