Question
Alarm Clock program?

Hey, is there some kind of program that will allow my computer to act as an alarm clock? Ya' know, like turn on and play music at a preset time?

What about something that can actually power up my system at a predesignated time?

What I'd like is to have my computer turn itself on in the morning and play music to wake me up. Am I asking for too much?

Task scheduler in windows?
For a power-up, the bios usually has some functions for that.

Yup. You should be able to find something in there to boot the PC.

Perhaps you can set it to boot up a couple minutes before you want the alarm to go off, then have the alarm set at the time you want to wake up.

Why do you need to turn your computer off? As long as you got your power-saving options set correctly there is no reason to shut it completely down.
