Whats the best "Burn In" freeware available? A tech brought one in at work but you have to first install an certain unzipping program (he doesnt use winzip) then you have to go through a back and forth file dragging here and there episode to run the thing..of course then you have to uninstall it from the persons comp. There has to be a better way. Is there any good freeware that I can burn to a cd and run it from there? Or is there anthing that installs easily and uninstalls completely and cleanly? The idea of installing junky progs and files on peeps comps is not all that appealing but the burn in testing is pretty cool. Any ideas?

There was a very good thread on this a while back, but I can't find it now....I wish I could remember the title.
One good one that'll put a big load on your CPU, and is said to be very good at testing overall stability is Prime 95. It's actually a distributed computing client, but has the option of being run as a "torture test". You can find it here: http://www.mersenne.org/freesoft.htm
Another good one to try would be 3Dmark2001. As the name states, it's more of of a video benchmarking tool, but I think you could run it in a loop for a good burn in. It's available here: http://www.madonion.com/products/3dmark2001/
I don't know if either would run off of a CD, but I've installed and uninstalled both with no problems at all. There are others, but those are the first two that come to mind.
I usually use the Burn-in wizard from Sisoft Sandra - its free, and it allows you to pick the systems you want to include in the burn-in. (CPU, memory, HDD, NIC, etc.)
