Burning Software
What are you guys running and what is considered the best at the moment...and the worst?
Just want to get an idea if I go and replace this stupid Nero OEM Suite that came with my DVD/CD RW Burner from Lite-On."When it comes to be when the soothing light at the end of your tunnel...is just a frieght train coming your way." ~Metallica, No Leaf Clover.

I use Nero almost exclusively. I also like to use the software built in to XP Pro to burn files to copy to my other comps.

What kind of software are you looking to backup?
CloneCD works pretty well...and DVDShrink is great for backing up dvds."The problem with quotations on the internet is that the sources are hard to verify" - Abraham Lincoln

I've never had any problems with Nero burning copyrighted Cds. But I hear Alchohol 120% works pretty good on backing up copy protecteted CDs.

I would CloneCD first(it is very easy to use), and if that doesn't work, you could use Alcohol 120%...
Oh, and nero hasn't worked very well for me on copy protected cds...it always gave me an error...

I think the nero burning suite is great. I use it for burning dvds, backup to my second hard drive, editiing video, ripping video from my tv card and making the tea.
The last one isn't true.

I've been using Nero 6 Ultra since it came out. Will probably upgrade to Nero 7 pretty soon. I use Nero for all my burning needs. For simple file copy, I just use what comes with Windows XP. I do find Nero to be akward (for lack of a better word) when creating my own DVDs. Then it reminds me of Sony's MD software, which makes you jump through too many hoops to get your work done.
