setup.exe for CD player missing?

I wanna run the cd player and I checked in my computer the CD player said that setup.exe is missing. How do I find that. Got Win98se program on the pc. Do I have to redownload off the disc or what. Is there a shortcut.?
The pc was initially setup with a password protected half and the other side not. I had a tech remove the password protection split and since then the CD player does not work. That's the best as I can explain it.

How about going to add/remove programs then add/remove windows components.

Since you are using windows 98SE you will need to install the driver and software for your CD - Another solution upgrade to Windows XP-PRO with SP-2 - Any system I have built for my self and installed XP has never needed drivers to play or copy CDs
