I need to turn off the function for autocorrecting my spelling as I am doing pseudocode and I do not want my i's being auto corrected to capital i's. I have looked in options and turned off most fucntions but it is still trying to autocorrect my i's and I do not want them corrected.
Tools, autocorrect, uncheck all of the entries listed there. You can also go down the auto-correct list, under i (lowercase), it will list I (upper case) in the replace with, click that entry and delete it. Either should solve your problem.
You are correct, Just now checked that out, it does solve the problem but um sorry to say 3 days too late. I just ended up hitting enter then back space and make big I to little i and then did arrow down. That stopped it from doing that. I forgot all about the auto correct under tools. Ugh. Guess this is one of the few threads that don't get the fast timo response time eh?
Thank you, i should be able to remember that now. I got my assignment turned in and awaiting response to see what my final grade is for the class.
Sorry for being slow, just too bust over the weekend. No doubt about it, Word auto-correct has messed up a lot of my documents. I do scientific writing and use lots of symbols and strange things like pH, pK, etc. Word can be very unfriendly in that respect.
