    Voice recording software

     
    A friend of mine is having a bunch of old video converted to dvd professionally. He is wanting to Nararate the films on his pc and provide it via cd. I am trying to find some freeware software that would allow him to accomplish this. I know I have seen a few in the pass. Anyone have any to reccommend.

    I came up with Audacity. It seems like its going to be a great program.

    Audacity is a very good program, I use it to mix music. Overkill for just a voice-over tho. Try windows sound recorder. It's already on his pc and will not have a large learning curve. Whatever you use, make sure that the mic input is not muted in the windows mixer.

    The Windows sound recorder only records up to 2 minutes at a time (or some limitation in time.)
