.dot file
I have another question. I downloaded from Internet a .dot document of several pages. I opened the document (in word) and I want to keep only a couple of pages, I tried copy/paste and it doesn't work, I can't use it. Is there any way that I can keep the pages I want from the whole document. I tried to highlight the pages that I want and I can't do it.
Thanks
Germain

Rename to .doc [right click and select rename]
The .dot extension is for a template file in M$ Word. Like if you wanted to have an invoice that would be used to make customer invoices use the .dot file, fill in the fields with customers info then save as .doc This will leave you the original .dot file and an invoice with the .doc extension.
Was that clear?

I think it was saved as a template. Try to do a "save as" from the file menu and select "word document" from the "save as file type". Hopefully you will have full control over it.
If it still dont work go into tools > options > security and see if read only is selected.
Lol. You beat me to it Elroy

I did save it as .doc file, but it did not change anything, I checked if it's in read only and it's not. Can I send it to one of you guys, to see if you can do something with it.
