Maxthon Using 98% of CPU power

My internet browser, Maxthon, will use 98% of the cpu power while I'm browsing and will cause it to lag when I'm switching between tabs.
I have a OC Celeron D at 3.45Ghz and 512mb DDR 400 memory.
So my question is, is it the Celerons low 256k of cache that is making is lag, or should I switch to a different browser?

Here's a link to Maxthon Forum: http://forum.maxthon.com/forum/lofiv...hp/t25802.html

Seems that opening some web page is doing it for some users.

There may be a patch to fix it, its probably all to do with the software having an issue with some CPU's...or just in general. If your not running the latest version you could try that, or get a new browser(firefox is good IMO, popular)

EDIT: Looks more like you should use an older version until this one is patched (info from Blues Link).
