Will the full version of win me work on my Dell Demension computer,It is completly formatted.I getting ready to buy one cause my cd that came with my Dell computer is longer working anymore,And it did say for Dell computers only.Thank you

well providing you have a legit cd key i see no reason why it would be illegal to download a copy off the net or to lend a friends disk etc


only download it off the net if you have your own LEGITAMATE cd key mind, or else your commiting a crime

What i meant was the instalation disk that came with my Dell computer when i bought it 4 yrs ago says only for DEll computers.With a formatted Drive will i be able to install a Full Version of Win Me on that same computer,So long as i have the Key Code.

The cd will only work on the computer it came with. If its the same machine it came with yes you can install it. even if the drive is formatted

you mean your system restore disks? it will simply put it back to the way it was the very first day it was turned on

All it came with was cd's no disk,Ill Name what came with it. First i have the operating sys (Reinstalation CD Win me)Second BK up installed program disk ThirdResouse CD Fourth Drivers and utilities CD So how do i get this machine back to where it was when it was new?Remember it won,t even boot to where i can go into or se the Bios setup.

I went to lime wire found a file that say win operating sys rare what does the rare mean

.rar is a compressed file. like a zip file. I use Winrar to open them.
Does your pc boot to the boot screen? [the black screen with white writing] These restore disks will fix Windows if it has gone bad they will not repair a broken pc. Usually you put the cd in the cd-rom and boot the pc, the restore should start. You will lose all data stored on the pc. It will restore Windows to the exact same state as when the pc was brand new.

When i boot the computer i get a blue screen with the Letters DELL taking up the whole screen.Nothing else happens.When i hit ctrl alt dlete the screen goes black then comes back to the same Blue with Dell written across it.
